Reflection
The day of the dead is celebrated around the world, on two days November 1 to 2 to celebrate their loved ones that have passed. They are learned to believe to not fear death but to celebrate it instead. People celebrate day of the dead around the world but the most common place is Mexico. The way the people celebrate day of the dead is they set up altars for their loved ones and would have flowers, candles, bread ,and sugar skulls they include everything the person owned or like and they had in their life. The person I chose to celebrate for day of the dead was my dog named Monty that died of kidney failure. The experience of using my dog for this project was really fun because I got to teach and show people who he was like when he was alive. Also when I took out all his belongings it felt good to celebrate him and not be sad about his death. The experience during the exhibition was really great it was so much fun and seeing all the altars felt like a real celebration. When learning about other peoples altars made me happy and that all the students did really well. The project overall was a really good experience to learn about a different culture and learn what they celebrate.
