Proposal Summary: I am proposing to have a partnership with hospitals around the area to donate medical supplies to organizations in Africa that are jump starting their non-profit. Along with writing a proposal to healthcare policy makers based on data.
Audience: Hospital members and healthcare policy makers Director of Mercy Regional Health Center
Proposal Outline:
Writing a proposal for local hospitals to consider donating to a starting non-profit. Creating possible action within our community.
Why is it important? “the poor cannot afford to purchase those things that are needed for good health, including sufficient quantities of quality food and health care. But, the relationship is also related to other factors related to poverty, such as lack of information on appropriate health-promoting practices or lack of voice needed to make social services work for them.” (World Bank)
Outline:
Find a non-profit in Africa that is working towards more efficient healthcare in the villages. A non-profit that are still trying to get all the supplies they need.
Contact the non-profit to communicate if I can donate supplies if the hospital donates them
Essay:
Introduce myself and why I am contacting them, wondering if they would be open to donating hospital supplies to a non-profit.
Talk about how poverty talks impacts health and mortality rates in less developed countries in Africa.
“Tulisa’s experience is a reminder that the effects of Ebola aren’t just physical. The stigmatization that some children experience can be isolating at a time when they are already struggling to cope with incredible hardship and loss. The emotional scars left behind can take years to heal(UNICEF para 12)”
How the health concerns in many countries affects children emotionally because most of their family has passed away.
Talk about the non-profit a possible one called Aid for Africa that has a program to donate supplies and what their mission is
Based on what they respond to in the email will determine what kinds of supplies and how much they need. State what they need etc.
Thank the director for their time and if they have any questions to contact me
If they agree, contact the non-profit and communicate how much and what stuff will be donated.
